ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON THE CONTENT
OF THE PHOTOS OR VIDEOS I SUBMIT?
The photo must be head-to-toe and inspired by the spring/summer 2009 runway or designer fashion. It must feature only one person at a time. Post something that you wore recently on a given day, not something you've worn only once (like a bridemaid's dress). Bikini pictures are not admissible to the contest.
Please DO NOT upload the following:
- Videos longer than 30 seconds.
- Content that you do not own or have permission to use.
- Submissions that include background music or sound effects that you do not own or have permission to use.
- Submissions that include nudity/pornographic depictions/sexually explicit material.
- Submissions that use profanity, offensive or defamatory language or offensive/violent images.
- Submissions that include advertising or excessive self-promotion.
- Submissions that reveal personal information about yourself or others, such as phone numbers or addresses.
- Do not upload the same material more than once.
AM I ELIGIBLE TO ENTER?
This contest is open to all residents of Canada aged 18 and older except employees, directors and officers (and those with whom they are domiciled) of the Contest Sponsors and their respective advertising and promotional agencies.
HOW DO I ENTER?
Enter by uploading a photo or video of you in your best summer style and filling out the entry form at www.summerstyle.ellecanada.com.
HOW OFTEN CAN I ENTER?
Online photo and video entries are limited to one per day per person for the duration of the contest. The maximum of the entries is 5.
Do not send the same entry twice. Each entry must contain a unique video or photo of you; duplicate entries will not be accepted.
WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO ENTER?
All online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (EDT) Sunday, July 26, 2009.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM LENGTH FOR A VIDEO?
Your video must be 30 seconds or less.

WHY DON’T I SEE IT ON THE SITE YET?
Our editors will approve any videos, pictures or text for appropriate content before they appear on the site.
HOW WILL THE FINALISTS BE SELECTED?
The twelve (12) best photos or videos will be selected from all eligible entries by an ELLE Canada judging panel on Monday, July 27, 2009, in Toronto, Ontario. The judging panel will choose the photos or videos based on their quality but also, the number of times they’ve been viewed by the public and the number of times they’ve been shared online.
The 12 selected entries (the finalists) will be posted to www.summerstyle.ellecanada.com on Wednesday, July 29, 2009.
HOW WILL THE ENTRIES BE JUDGED?
Visitors to www.summerstyle.ellecanada.com during the voting period will have the ability to vote on any single entrant only once within a 24 hour time-period. Users can vote for any number of entries during that 24 hour time period, but they are only able to cast a single vote for each entry. All votes must be received by 11:59 p.m. (EDT) Wednesday, August 12, 2009. The winner will be the finalist who receives most votes.
HOW OFTEN CAN I VOTE?
Votes are limited to one (1) per person per day for the duration of the voting period and must be received by 11:59 p.m. (EDT) Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Voting begins Wednesday, July 29, 2009.
All the users must register to vote.
HOW WILL THE WINNERS BE CHOSEN?
The winner will be the finalist who receives most votes.
The decisions of the judging organization are final with respect to all aspects of the contest. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants and individuals requesting a copy of contest rules.
The odds of an entry being selected depend on the number and quality of eligible entries received by the contest closing date.
All entries become the property of Transcontinental Media G.P. and none will be returned. ELLE Canada (Transcontinental Media G.P.) and third parties may make the information on these entry forms available for promotional purposes unless entrants request.
One (1) first prize winner will be selected via online voting
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
One (1) first prize winner will be selected via online voting. The prize consists in a $750 CDN check.
Prize must be accepted as awarded, and are not transferable or convertible to cash, except at the option of ELLE Canada (Transcontinental Media G.P.).
Prizes may not be sold or traded. Should the winner refuse a prize, the Contest Sponsors and their respective advertising and promotional agencies are released from any obligation related to the prize.
WHEN WILL THE WINNERS BE NOTIFIED?
The winner will be notified by phone on or before August 14, 2009. The Contest Sponsors retain the right in their absolute discretion to make substitutions of equivalent kind or value in the event of the unavailability of any element of a prize for any reason whatsoever.
